U.S. Army Beckley Recruiting Battalion is proud to announce that
Bluefield
’s Jake Lilly is the Army
STRONG Wrestler of the Year for
West Virginia
.
Lilly competed for two seasons on the two-year-old Beavers wrestling
program. Lilly finished his senior
season with a 41-4 record, ending his prep wrestling career with an 83-14 mark.
Lilly won a Coalfield Conference title, finished as a runner-up in Region
3, and finished 5th in the state in his weight-class at the Class AAA
State Tournament.
Each
week, wrestling competitors must demonstrate physical and emotional strength, as
well as strength of character. The
Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year embodies the qualities of Army STRONG.
