RULES for the “Hoops Stars”
presented by Bluegrass Cellular.
OVERVIEW:
“The Sports Flash” (TSF) Radio Network and Bluegrass Cellular will
honor the best boys and girls high school basketball players in the 38-county
Bluegrass Cellular coverage area during the 2009 – 2010 high school basketball
season.
DURATION:
ELIGIBILITY:
All student-athletes who compete in VARSITY boys or girls high
school basketball at both public and private schools in Bluegrass Cellular’s
coverage area are eligible to be honored as the Hoops Star of the Week.
DETERMINATION
of HOOPS STAR OF THE WEEK, NOMINEES:
TSF Radio Network will accept nominations from high school
basketball coaches, athletic directors, media, and fans throughout the Bluegrass
Cellular coverage area. The deadline
for nominations is
TSF
Radio Network will announce the HOOP STARS of the Week nominees each Monday
afternoon. TSF Radio Network will
send press releases to the local media and the nominee’s school via fax and
e-mail. In addition, TSF Radio
Network will post the weekly nominees on its web site at www.TheSportsFlash.com.
TSF Radio Network will also air a weekly featuring that highlights the
weekly nominees on its network affiliates in the Bluegrass Cellular coverage
area.
DETERMINATION
of HOOPS STAR OF THE WEEK, WINNER:
Bluegrass Cellular customers will have the opportunity to vote for
the weekly winner by sending a text message with the name of their choice for
HOOPS STAR of the WEEK to 4 6 6 7 (HOOP) at a cost of $0.99 per text message.
For each vote, $0.99 will be billed to the voter’s Bluegrass Cellular
account. Voters will be asked to
double-confirm the decision to bill $0.99 to the account.
The male
and female weekly winner will be determined by the total number of votes
received via text message added to the number of votes received via the free
method of voting. TSF Radio Network
makes the final decision on the determination of the Hoop Star of the Week.
All decisions are final.
HOOP
STAR OF THE YEAR:
All male and female Hoop Star of the Week winners will be automatic
finalists for the Hoop Star of the Year. At
the end of the high school basketball regular season, fans will have the
opportunity to choose from among all finalists for the Hoop Star of the Year.
Bluegrass
Cellular customers will have the opportunity to vote for the Hoops Star of the
Year winner by sending a text message with the name of their choice to 4 6 6 7
(HOOP) at a cost of $0.99 per text message.

TO VOTE:
Voting is open all persons and is not restricted to Bluegrass Cellular
customers. Persons can vote for free
by e-mailing your vote to bluegrasshoopstars@thesportsflash.com.
AWARDS:
There is no cash value attached to the Hoops Stars of the Year
campaign. Weekly winners will
receive certificates while the male and female Hoop Star of the Year will
receive a trophy or plaque that will be determined at a later date by TSF Radio
Network and Bluegrass Cellular.

Rules will be posted at the Bluegrass Cellular Hoops Stars “official”
web site, hosted at www.TheSportsFlash.com.
The rules will be posted at all times at the site. A request for official
